CNOOC Buzzard Platform

Telic Engineering received an assignment to represent MTU Power for the instrumentation and control tasks during an annually, or 8000 running hours, preventative maintenance service checks at the CNOOC Buzzard platform located offshore Aberdeen, Scotland.

These checks are performed on one of their three, LM2500+ SAC G4 PGT25 gasturbine-generator packages on board, and maintenance of this gasturbine requires that inspections checks are to be made periodically to reduce unscheduled shutdown time.

The tasks consisted of verifying instrumentation as defined in a work pack, i.e. visually inspected, calibration verification, loop check, or functional testing.

The results of these checks are a service report with the results or faults identified, and recommendations to correct these.
