Britannia


Telic Engineering represented MTU to perform a task at the Britannia platform owned and operated by Harbour Energy, offshore Aberdeen, UK.

Britannia is in the North Sea approximately 210 kilometers north east of Aberdeen and is is one of the largest natural gas and condensate fields in the North Sea. The complex consists of a drilling, production and accommodation platform, a long-term compression module of mono-column design and a 90-metre bridge connected to a production and utilities platform. Britannia Commercial production began in 1998.

The task completed was implementation and testing of control application and HMI changes used for the LM5000 gasturbine-compressor control.
